Punjab Police offers online reporting facility through IG Complaint center which is an online complaint center accessible for the people of Punjab. Residents can also visit the Front Desks of Police Stations to record their application and FIR.
If you are in any city of Punjab and want to lodge a complaint then you can easily do so through the Inspector General Police Online Complaint Center.
How To Lodge Complaint?
The method & procedure to lodge a complaint through IGP complaint center is very simple, just follow these steps to initiate your online report:
1) Visit the official website of Punjab Police
2) Click on IGP Complaint Center
3) Provide your CNIC Number, Name and Phone Number
4) Click Submit
5) Provide your details such as name, father name, address, email and police station
6) Select category, sub category of complaint and type of crime
7) Provide the details of your complaint
8) Attach any file/picture if required
9) Submit your complaint
10) Write down the tracking number.
How To Track Your Complaint:
After filing your online complaint you can also track it through the same portal. Just write your CNIC and Tracking No. and the progress made will be shown on your screen.
In 2017 Punjab Government started established Front Desks in police stations of Punjab which soon spread to all police stations of Punjab.
In these special desks civilian officials of IT Branch which record the complaint through online software and provide a slip with tracking Number. Citizen can access the online FIR and progress on the case through the official website of Punjab police.
These front desks are integrated with Complaint Management System (CMS) and Police Station Record Management System (PSRMS). This integrated system was the first modern online system implemented in any province of Pakistan.
Just visit the official portal and write your CNIC no and complaint no. to know the details of your FIR. Punjab Police also launched online facility for overseas Pakistanis.
When to contact IGP Complaint Center?
Following types of complaints will be entertained at IGP Complaint centre:
- Non-Registration of FIRs
- Faulty investigations
- Illegal detentions
- Arrests of innocent persons
- Registration of false FIR
- Slackness in Duty
- Demand of illegal gratification
