The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced a groundbreaking “Work Bundle” platform to simplify and expedite the process of obtaining work permits and residency visas,

Launched recently, the Work Bundle platform aims to revolutionize the bureaucratic procedures associated with acquiring work permits and residency visas in the UAE.
With a commitment to efficiency, the platform promises to drastically reduce processing times from an average of one month to just five days.
Streamlined Services and Benefits
The Work Bundle platform integrates services from multiple government entities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, and the Dubai Health Authority, among others.
By consolidating these services, the platform aims to streamline the entire process, reducing the necessary documentation from 16 essentials to just five.
Additionally, it minimizes the number of visits to service centers from seven to only two, offering convenience and efficiency to both employers and employees.
Impact and Future Plans
The initial rollout of the Work Bundle platform is accessible to companies operating in Dubai through the “Invest in Dubai” platform, with plans for expansion to cover other emirates in the near future.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, anticipates significant benefits from the implementation of the Work Bundle.
It is projected to save an estimated 65 million working hours, eliminate 25 million government procedures, and reduce 12 million visits to government offices annually.
Aligning with Government Directives
The introduction of the Work Bundle platform aligns with the UAE government’s recent directive to federal ministries and entities. The directive aims to streamline procedures by reducing the number of steps by at least 2,000 and cutting processing times in half within a year.
The Work Bundle initiative demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and enhancing the ease of doing business in the country.
