Nadra Smart Card Fee, Delivery Time & Details for 2020

NADRA Smart Card is Pakistan’s first national electronic identity card which comes with a data chip and multiple security features. Like CNIC all citizens of Pakistan can get the card after they turn 18 but are required to pay the car fee.

Smart Computerized National Identity Card (SNIC) was launched in 2012 and NADRA aims to replace existing Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) across Pakistan with this new smart card.

Fees of Nadra Smart Card:

Citizens can apply for smart card for the first time against a fee of Rs. 750, if you apply for urgent card or through executive office the fees are higher. The NADRA fees for Smart Card in 2020 are as follows:

The documents requirement for Smart Card is same as the documents required for CNIC.

Security Features:

What make Smart Card unique is the data chip and 36 security features of the card. There are many benefits of the card as it can not only be used for online identification but also for financial services such as pension, voting and other services.

The data in the chip is encrypted using advanced software to protect the data of the card holder and it comes with multiple layers with different security features.

Delivery:

The delivery time through normal service is 31 days, for urgent the delivery time is 23 days while through executive service applicant can get it within 9 days.

Online Application:

NADRA also launched the Pak-Identity portal through which applicants can create an online account and apply for CNIC, Smart Card or NICOP from the comfort of their home.

They also did an agreement with courier service TCS so that identity cards will be delivered at the doorsteps of applicants.
