Traffic Police Department in Hyderabad: Inefficiency On Rise

Hyderabad traffic police department is not performing their duties up to the mark. That’s why around 90 percent motorcycle drivers, 50 percent auto rickshaw and Qingqi rickshaw drivers have no driving license.

According to the traffic police department around 400,000 motorcycles, 32,000 rickshaws and 17,000 pickups are running on roads. While unofficially Qingqi rickshaws are also running on road. More than 40 percent vehicle is not registered in Sindh traffic department.  Further they told that it is normally seen young boys drive roughly on main roads owing to which road accident is occurring on daily basis and it is increasing day by day.

On the other hand people openly violate of traffic rules even traffic policemen present on duty was seen powerless to take action against these violators. Hundreds of rickshaws and taxi are also seen parked in No Parking area. Traffic police officers told that traffic police department has instructed to employees to impose fines on those drivers who have no driving license.

Residents of Hyderabad has requested to Hyderabad commissioner Qazi Shahid Pervaiz and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dr. Amir Sheikh to impose fines and penalties against negligent employees and take strict action in public interest.
