World Bank Budget For Development Of Karachi?

Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah while addressing a session said that 10 billion rupees has been approved for the development of Karachi. Further he told that around 18 more development projects are in pipeline and it will be started after the issuance of special grant.

Murad Ali Shah said that we are trying hard to develop, maintain and moderate to the Karachi city. Karachi Gross Domestic Product (GDP) share 15 to 20 percent but economic development work is going very slow from last few years. Owing to which World Bank stated that Karachi is included in the top 10 worst cities for housing societies.

Murad Ali Shah requested Country Director for Pakistan of World Bank Mr. Ilango Pachamuthu to send a team in Karachi to discuss development projects. Chief Minister also discussed rehabilitation of Sukkur Barrage and Canal Lining projects. Country Director for Pakistan of World Bank Mr. Ilango Pachamuthu was also present.
