Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is not taking any action against those factories and industries which are causing environment pollution. Factories owner is not taking any step to save the environment. Owing to which across the Sindh more than one million people are drinking dirty water and facing different disease like hepatitis.
Commissioner Hyderabad Qazi Shahid Parvez has provided further relaxation to industries for 2 months. Hyderabad regional in charge of Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) Muneer Ahmed Abbasi told that this relaxation is providing by commissioner.
Sindh Environment Protection Department (SEPA) has ordered to install the water treatment and take necessary steps to save the environment.
SEPA Director General Naeem Ahmed Mughal told that quality of drinking water is not up to the quality to use. He addressed the concerned authorities to submit a report regarding check and balance of drinking water which is supplied to Hyderabad and other districts.
Insiders said that according to the Sindh environment protection law citizens are unable to take action against industrial management. Muneer Ahmed Abbasi told that if they didn’t install the water treatment plant this case will be send to tribunal.
Muneer Ahmed Abbasi told that this problems will be solved on urgent basis.
