Antalya is among the ancient cities of Turkey and being the eighth on the list of most populous cities of Turkey, present in the province of Eponymous and capital of the same province as well. The city lies on the coast of Mediterranean Sea and the Taurus Mountains also touches the southwest border of Antalya. The city is known to be found in early ages even before the Birth of Jesus Christ (Peace be Upon Him) probably in the Attalid Dynasty.

Kaleici is the harbor inside the city walls this area is known to be one of the oldest areas of Antalya, this part of the city also is home to very ancient houses which reflect the Greek architecture along with the traditional Turkish Houses as well. Antalya is also home to number of Ancient Monuments which includes the Harridan’s gate. The Iskele Mosque itself speaks volumes of its beautiful architecture.
