Thar coal power plant is under construction after which 660 megawatt electric production will be started and then put more power plants. It will be eliminate the shortage of electricity.
According to the report coal power plant working is going very fast. Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SEMCO) appears positive to complete the power production project on time and around 150 Chinese heavy machineries are working at site.
SEMCO Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shams Uddin told that Thar coal electricity project will start production within three years. He said the work is continued with the help of project Management Company. We are also using European technologies. Thar airport work has stopped due to financial problems.
“We will provide business opportunities to the citizen of Thar. It is the basic responsibility of government to ensure benefits to citizen. We hope that plant will start production of electric from 2019” Shams Uddin said.
