Saudi Arabia Introduces Website For Expatriate Workers

www.laboreducation.gov.sa was launchedIn a submission to put off workers’ rights contravention in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Labor has introduced an exclusive Web portal to instruct workers about their rights and how to gain them. The Web portal www.laboreducation.gov.sa was launched on Tuesday objective to improve awareness about workers’ rights and the rules that control the relationship between the employee and employer in Saudia Arab. according to sources in the Labor ministry, the Web portal’s Arabic version has inclusive information, the English version is still under construction.

The Web portal comes in the light of numerous reports of development of expat workers in particular, due to be short of legal knowledge. The portal gives useful information regarding to the contact details of significant authorities, workers’ rights, contractual obligations and wages, working hours, work responsibility, disciplinary rules, training, qualification and the calculation of end of service remuneration.
It also provides stipulation for special rights for people with disabilities and women workers.
Sources indicated that one would also stay a formal grievance through the Web portal. The sources said that the Labor ministry which is fully computerized through an electronic system now wanted to lengthen the same facility for workers to develop the working environment and guarantee the rights of employer and employee.
