Sania Mirza Out Of Wimbledon In The Third Round

saniya mirzaLondon: Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza was knocked out of the Wimbledon tournament in the third round only. The Indian Tennis star and her Romanian partner Horia Tecau suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Britain’s Jamie Murray and Australia’s Casey Dellacqua. The sixth seeded Sania Mirza and Horia Tecau lost 5-7 3-6 to the 10th seeds Jamie Murray and Casey Dellacqua. Saniya looked out of touch in the match, as her partner fought for the team.

Sania has a record of being the highest ranked Indian player for over a decade in between 2003-2013. She is known for her tremendous shots. She has announced retirement from the singles competition. She is the highest ranked player from India and holds victory over Svetlana Kuznetsova, Vera Zvonareva, Marion Bartoli; and former World No. 1s Martina Hingis, Dinara Safina, and Victoria Azarenka.

This time Sania’s fortune was not with her and her stay at the Wimbledon championships ended with a third round defeat along with her partner Horia Tecau.Only one of the seven break chances that were offered to the Indo-Romanian team were converted which led them to lose the match.
