King AbdulAziz University Offers Scholarships for Master Programs

The University was established in 1967 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was designed by John Elliott a British architect. KAU has around 2,000 faculties. It was primarily established as a private university. It now works as an international university in order to fulfill its goals.

The higher education council discussed in its fifty-eight meeting recommended that it should form an international advisory board in order to achieve the goals. The international advisory board consists of 20 members selected for the accomplishments and contribution in fields such as public services, industry and higher education.

In order to achieve one of the main objectives, this is to start partnerships with international universities and research centers. To build the international status the university has started scholarship programs for graduate students of different countries from outside the kingdom.

The registration for the recent scholarship program had started from 1-11-2013 and will end at 28-2-2014.

The students would be provided by the following facilities:

  • Monthly support of SR: 1,900.
  •  Preparation payment of SR: 1,800 for those coming first time.
  • Health care would be provided.
  • Will be given place for living and facilities.
  • Meals would be provided to the candidates.
  • An amount of SR: 4000 and SR: 3000 would be paid to the PhD and masters respectively.
  • When graduated, they will be provided an allowance of SR: 2700 for shipping books.
  • The applicant would be provided with a two way ticket annually.

Eligibility criteria are that the applicant’s age should not exceed 35 years if he is applying for PH.D while it should not exceed 30 years for Masters. Applicant must have a degree of some recognized university. In case not having English as your first language the applicant will have to get an appropriate standard in an approved English test to enter the graduate program. Must have fluency in Arabic language if applying for Islamic studies or Arabic language. He should be medically fit and have a good record. Suggestion letters of two of his professors must b submitted. He should not have been discharged from any of the universities in KSA. His certificate should be authorized from the Saudi embassy of his country.

It’s an excellent chance for the students of Pakistan to apply for the scholarship program and go for much better education. Student who wants to do PHD and Maters can now go to KAU and make their carrier brighter.
