Interior Minister to Bring Online Passport Systems & its Offices in Every District

Pakistan passportIslamabad: Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has brought online passport systems and also announced to establish passport offices in every district of the country during a year. He also said that VIP culture has been ended after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s government as earlier passport officials used to visit homes of presidents and higher officials for their passports.

According to the sources, Chaudhary Nisar Ali announced online passport system during a meeting of National Assembly which was held under the presidency of Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi on Thursday. He also told that the process of home delivery of passports has also started in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Passport renewal period has also increased from 5 years to 10 years, he added.

Moreover, Interior Minister said that new passport offices have also establishing in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa as staff will be given promotions on their good performances. On the other hand, Chaudhary Nisar also presented report regarding good performance of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) who have discarded 1,00,000 NIC during a year. Now offices of NADRA will be open throughout the country with the consultation of members, Nisar said.
