Karachi: The election tribunal has disqualified the federal minister Ghulam Mirza Jataoi from the election results that had showed him as successful from the NA-211. The people’s party candidate Zulfiqar Ali has been deemed a winner from the NA-211. The election tribunal gave this decision under the leadership of Zafar Sherwani.
The election tribunal had carried out a hearing on the case of NA-211 of the National assembly. Justice Zafar Sherwani announced the decision and stated that in 2002, Ghulam Mirza Jatoi’s degree was identified as fake, after which he is no longer ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Ameen’, while he was also not qualified to run in the elections.
The election tribunal’s decision has also announced the candidate Zulfiqar Ali from People’s Party as successful and the notification for this decision will be issued soon. Ghulam Mirza Jatoi won his seat from the NA-211 on the ticket of People’s Party and after elections he merged with the Muslim League (N). He was given the position of federal minister for agriculture.
