Fasting Duration in Different Countries of the World

CrescentThe Holly month of Ramazan have started in European countries and Arabian countries and is due to start in Asian sub-continent in a day. Each region’s duration of the fast will vary because of its specific day time or the time in between the sunrise and sunset which in essence is the fasting time. The longest fast will be observed in Denmark which will last for 21 hours on an average. The shortest will be of South America where the Muslims will fast for about 12 hours on an average.

European countries other than Denmark, like Sweden, Norway and Iceland will observe the fast for about 20 hours. Those living in UK will fast for about 19 hours and the Muslims living in Germany will fast for 18 hours and few minutes on an average. Australia will have the fasting time of about 12 hours and 30 minutes. Brazilian people will observe the Fast of about 13 hours and few minutes. People living in Chili will observe the fast for about 12 hours.

Whereas in Arabian countries, Saudi Arabia will observe fast for 16 hours and quarter of an hour on an average. The fast’s duration in UAE will be about 15 hours and 20 minutes on average. Kuwait will see the fasting period of about 16 hours. Indian Muslims will fast for about 17 hours and 15 minutes on average whereas the Pakistani Muslims will fast for 16 hours and 30 minutes.
