University of Sassari, Italy Offers Many PhD Scholarships

The University of Sassari is situated in the city of Sassari in Italy. It was established in 1562 by Alessio Fontana. The university today contains more than 40 departments, institutes and study centers along with eleven faculties. It is a medium size university where teaching staff consist of around 700 members while the numbers of students are approximately 18000 or above. In the many departments there also are departments for research, specialist, postgraduate school and special research institutions.

The eleven faculties are faculty of Agriculture, faculty of Architecture, faculty of Arts, faculty of Economics and Business, faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature, faculty of Law, faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, faculty of Medicine and Surgery, faculty of Political Science, faculty of Pharmacy Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

As the university contains many faculties so it is providing a scholarship program on academic basis. Every year this program takes place for international students. The program for PHD faculty cycle had been started since 7th November 2013 and the last date for the submission of application form to take part in the scholarship program cycle PHD degree is 10th of December 2013.

An award of around 1250 euro will be provided to the applicant on monthly basis. The INPS would pay grants to the successful students who are orphans of civil servants, or are children of the Ex managers who are getting pensions. They would be provided checks that are given by the institute.

The University of Sassari provides scholarship in the following subjects for the PHD degree program.

  • Economic and Business Sciences
  • Sciences and Chemical Technologies
