Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul To Play At Lords

shahid afridi, saeed ajmalLondon: First class Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal and all rounder Shahid Afridi will meet face to face on 5th July in MCC. This match has been organized to mark the 200th birthday of Marylebone crocket club. The match will be played between MCC and world eleven. Sachin Tendulkar will lead the MCC cricket team, while the world eleven will be led by Shane Warn.

On 22nd June, 22 years had been completed since the establishment of Lords. On 22nd June 1814, a match was played between the MCC and Hertfordshire. This was the first ever match played. The MCC cricket team is based on Rahul Dravid, Brian Lara, Bret Lee, Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul. The World eleven is based upon Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Muttiah Muralitharan, Adam Gilchrist, Kevin Peterson and Shahid Afridi.

Saeed Ajmal was exhilarated to receive invitation to this match and was honoured to be part of a game where world class cricketers will participate. He also expressed that this was a unique opportunity to see the world class cricketers in action and was aware of the responsibility entrusted upon him as he stated that Shahid Afridi, Umar Gul and him were there as representatives of Pakistan. Saeed stated that they will not only perform well on ground, but will also represent Pakistan on Lords cricket ground.

Shahid Afridi expressed similar thoughts. He was also happy to receive the invitation and expressed his gratitude to the MCC for the invite.
