Sakip Sabanci Museum, Istanbul – Exhibition Center

Sakip-Sabanci-MuseumThe private fine arts museum Sakip Sabanci is home to calligraphic work along with religious documents and state documents as well. Sakip Sabanci is one of the famous Businessman and Philanthropist of Turkey who founded the Museum which was later opened in mid of 2002. The fine arts museum also hosts paintings which date back to the Ottoman era along with calligraphic art as well of the same time period.

The museum has been hosting a number of temporary exhibitions over the time which were of International level attracting fine arts enthusiasts from a number of foreign countries and providing them a platform to meet up and share their love for arts. The Musuem recently hosted an exhibition on the works of ‘Pablo Picasso’ along with the art work of ‘Auguste Rodin’ which proved to be a source for gaining attention for the museum at International level. The permanent exhibition, exhibits the collection of figurines, porcelain, metal work along with Furniture and other objects which have been collected by Sakip Sabanci over the time.

The Museum is located in the Emirgan Neighborhood of Istanbul which itself is known to be a fine place. The Museum complex is not just a museum but it actually is a university of museum along with the vast archeological collection.
