Late Nazia Hassan gets a PhD degree from Richmond UniversityThe attractive and singing celebrity of Pakistani industry Nazia Hassan is rewarded honorary PhD by Richmond University for her giving in music and social services. Unfortunately, Nazia Hassan passed away after encountering a long fight of five years against cancer.

The lost of this Diva in a very early age raised like an alarm to her fans in 2000; she was a student of Richmond University London. Nazia expended most of her time in creating music and human welfare.  She is that well-known personality whose work for humankind was sustained by her family even after her end in the form of Nazia Hassan Foundation. She was the singing with feeling of early eighties, her first album Disco Deewane kept the record of best-selling album internationally.

Nazia achieved this honorary doctorate degree for her extraordinary contribution in Asian Pop music and humanitarian work. The degree was collected by her son Aariz Hassan who speaks that her mother would have been truly proud if she was alive because Richmond was the position where she commenced her community services. Nazia Hassan is one of the founders of Pop music in sub-continent; she was born on April 3rd 1965, in Karachi and kept a Filmfare award of best female singer in her bag.
