Islamabad: The State bank of Pakistan has revealed that due to the remaining assets left in the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India was indebted to Pakistan for 5.5 billion rupees to this day. The state bank of Pakistan stated that India was liable to pay Pakistan this amount that was left behind in the form of assets. State bank of Pakistan has been constantly expressing this amount in its statement of affairs since 2nd July 1948. The first statement of affairs was released by the State Bank OF Pakistan on 2nd July 1948.
The latest statement of affairs has been released by the State Bank of Pakistan on 27th June 2014 and it also mentions these assets which are on India. The State Bank of Pakistan has been constantly revealing these assets in the following form;
Gold coins= 4.1 billion rupees.
Securities= 501.6 million rupees.
Government of India securities= 240.4 million rupees.
Coins= 4.9 million rupees.
