How Many Pakistanis went abroad For Jobs?

As we know that in a country like Pakistan it is hard to find a good job in order to fulfill the basic needs of the family. So to overcome these problems majority of the Pakistani citizens used the way of going abroad in search of jobs. The ministry of overseas Pakistanis and human resource development had stated that an amount of 276,578,9 people had left the country in last five years and nine months and went abroad in search of employment.

The data that was provided by the ministry goes in the way that from January 2008 to 30th of September 2013 31,607 citizens from Baluchistan went abroad for employment. The foreign workers are mostly selected on certain criteria’s that are required for the jobs.

The overseas employment corporation in the last five years had sent 6,851 pakistani citizens abroad in different countries. If we divide the number we can see that from 2008 to 2009 1,450 citizens were sent abroad, in 2009 to 2010 1,460 were sent, in 2010 to 2011 1,918 were sent, in 2011 to 2012 715 were sent and in 2012 to 2013 1,308 people were sent to different countries.

Now if we see county wise than in the last five years a total number of 339 residents of Pakistan were sent to United Arab Emirates, 2001 were sent to Saudi Arabia, 575 were sent to Oman, 13 were sent to Bahrain, 3,521 were sent to South Korea, 158 were sent to Malaisya, 8 were sent to Qatar, in Ethiopia 40 were sent, in Libya 196, 2 were sent in Maldives and only 1 person was sent to Indonesia.
