Pakistanis can travel to Austria by applying either for National Visa of Austria or through Schengen Visa. The visa application procedure for both types of visa will remain same.
No application is accepted online, all applications must be submitted in person to the embassy of Austria.
How to Apply?
No matter whether you want to visit Austria as a tourist, want to study there or you are planning to start a new job the process to apply for a Schengen Visa will remain same.
1) Download visa application form from the official portal of embassy of Austria in Islamabad.
2) Fill the application form.
3) Attach the required documents.
4) Get your appointment at Austrian Embassy through the official form.
5) Visit the embassy on the appointment day and receive your token.
6) You will be called to submission counter where your application and documents will be scrutinized
7) Go through biometric process (scan for finger print)
8) Pay the visa processing fee and receive the receipt
Make sure to bring your original CNIC, Family registration and other documents including your valid passport.
Document requirements:
When you apply for Austrian visa certain documents will be required and your application will only be accepted if these documents are attached. These documents are listed by Austrian Embassy on their website which are:
- Application form
- 1 passport picture according
- Valid travel document
- Copies of any previous Schengen Visas
- Copy of CNIC
- Family Registration Certificate (including Translation)
- Return flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation
- Travel medical insurance
- Account Statements for the past 6 months
- Tax returns for the past 3 years
- Birth certificate (for minors)
- Finger Prints (will be collected in Austrian Embassy)
- Confirmation of the applicant’s company
These documents will be required in all types of visa while for certain applications some other documents will be required.
If you are applying visa to join a company in Austria you will be required to submit letter from the Austrian company, similarly a student will be required to submit letter of admission from a University in Austria. Some people hire professional agents to process their student visa.
Visa Fees:
The charges and cost of visa fees is €60 (Rs. 8,600) for children (6-12 years) the visa processing fees is €35 (Rs. 5,000). This amount will be payable in cash during the appointment in Embassy of Austria.
Visa Process:
The time period for visa process of shot stay such as tourism, business and to visit a family member will be 15 days, in some cases 30 working days will be taken to scrutinize the application. The method will remain same except for permanent visa applications which may take few months.
