Akbar Express Train Schedule & Daily timings

akbar expressAkbar Express connects Quetta and Lahore and other cities and towns in between as well. The train earlier was named as Quetta Express later on it was renamed as Akbar Express after Nawab Akbar Bugti the chief of Bugti Tribe and Jamhoori Wattan Party. The train has been connecting the two provincial capitals form a longtime and this train is considered to be very important in this regard.


The journey from Quetta to Lahore starts at 09:30 am in the morning when the train leaves Quetta then reaches Sibi junction to make a stop of about 25 minutes via Kolpur,Mach and Ab-I-Gum (short stopovers in these towns). Then the train resumes its journey leaving Sibi junction at 14:45, the major station after that is Jacobabad where the train reaches at 17:30 for a 10 minutes stop. The train continues its journey via Shikarpur and Sukkur before reaching Rohri Junction at about 19:45. Making short stopovers in Pano Akil, Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo, Sadikabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur junction, Liaqat Pur,Dera Nawab Sahib, Bahawalpur and Jahania the train reaches Khanewal junction and makes a stopover of about 20 minutes. The train finally reaches Lahore at 09:30 am in the morning via Shorkot, Toba Tek Singh, Gojra, Faisalabad and Sangla Hill, making short stop over on these stations.

The Akbar express starts its journey from Lahore at 17:00 for Quetta. The train reaches Khanewal junction at 22:30 for a 20 minutes stop over and in between stopping in multiple towns for shorter time durations. Rohri junction is the next station where the train makes a stopover of 25 minutes and leaves Rohri junction at 06:30 in the morning. Making shorter stopovers at Sukkur, Shikarpur and other stations the train reaches Sibi junction at 11:30 for a 25 minutes pullover afterwards covering the miles and making stopovers of shorter duration the train finally reaches Quetta at 17:00.
